ウイ・アー・ザ・ワールド [DVD]

　教科書Lesson6がStevie Wonderについてのお話で、"We Are The World"に参加したことも載っていたので、１１月の歌は"We Are The World"に。先日の自習の時、メイキングのＤＶＤを見せたので、生徒たちもだいぶ乗り気です。

　というか、正直現任校の生徒たちを見ていて、「この歌に反応しないのではないか」「古すぎて興味持てないかな」と思ってＤＶＤを見せるのも少しためらってました。でも次の日に「感動しました！」「ＣＤ持ってますか？」「もう１回みたいです」とものすごい反応。勝手に廊下でハモってるヤツらから、どこからか音源を手に入れてきたヤツまで。

　ベタベタだけど、あれくらいストレートだといろんな人の心を打つんですね。やっぱりすごいなぁ。生徒の人気はやっぱりブルース・スプリングスティーン、シンディー・ローパー、レイ・チャールズ、ライオネル・リッチーなど個性的な人たち。いろんな髪型、歌い方、人種の人たちがいることも、「個性」を考える意味で刺激になればなぁと思います。

　３年前にやってみたように、どっかで生徒版"We Are The World"をやってみたいなぁ。ソロで歌いつないで大迫力のコーラス。そんなエネルギーが彼らに宿りますように。
